Have You Ever Considered Mixing Heat With Weighted Workouts?
Have you ever thought about mixing heat with strength training? I did not think to do this until I learned about Hotworx. Before, I would always go sit in the sauna after a weight session at the gym, but never understood the benefits of doing so. Sitting in the gym sauna after a gym workout never reduced the soreness and decreased the recovery time so I was never sure on what the point was. In fact, prior to learning about Hotworx, I would become very disappointed that the information I heard about sitting in a sauna after a workout was not true. I think in today’s time we get super caught up in what the media is doing with their health that we believe them right away. For example, in class we discuss misinformation that spreads around the media and how us followers of specific individuals are so quick to believe what we hear which often leaves us disappointed. On the other hand, when Hotworx began to start their business, they would post multiple beneficial facts about their infrared saunas and the positive impacts it has made with prior and post workout routines. When I tried Hotworx for the first time, I was not sore the next day which led me to question if I did not work hard enough or if the infrared sauna made an impact. That day I decided to do Hot Pilates before my leg workout in the free weight section. Since I chose to go into the sauna first to do pilates, it allowed me to loosen and stretch all of my muscles which prevented injury and strain in the free weight section. Ever since I realized the minimium soreness I felt after a weighted workout, I am a firm believer that the infrared sauna before or after a strength workout is necessary because it not only prevents injury but decreases the recovery time. However, it is not the action of sitting still in a sauna that causes all of these benefits, it is the action of doing a moderate exercise such as pilates that makes the bigger difference. Overall, throughout Hotworx you constantly hear the benefits of the infrared sauna, but it isn’t until you are in action with the sauna and weights that allows you to witness the many benefits it carries.
