Have You Ever Considered Mixing Heat With Weighted Workouts?

Have you ever thought about mixing heat with strength training? I did not think to do this until I learned about Hotworx. Before, I would always go sit in the sauna after a weight session at the gym, but never understood the benefits of doing so. Sitting in the gym sauna after a gym workout never reduced the soreness and decreased the recovery time so I was never sure on what the point was. In fact, prior to learning about Hotworx, I would become very disappointed that the information I heard about sitting in a sauna after a workout was not true. I think in today’s time we get super caught up in what the media is doing with their health that we believe them right away. For example, in class we discuss misinformation that spreads around the media and how us followers of specific individuals are so quick to believe what we hear which often leaves us disappointed. On the other hand, when Hotworx began to start their business, they would post multiple beneficial facts about their inf...

The Female Eye

Have you ever taken a step back and observed the difference between what captures a female and male's attention? I have not until I observed the difference between Hotworx and your normal gym. As we all know, a normal gym consists of the basic gym aesthetic such as dark colors, upbeat music, and an overly crowded environment. On the other hand, Hotworx is very far from reaching this aesthetic. Hotworx is very clean, bright, less crowded, and is playing your typical popular songs. From the very beginning of comparing this company to any gym, I automatically realized their target audience is women. I gathered this assumption because of their bright colors, dainty fire logo, and clean, calm atmosphere that most women would lean towards. Another reason why I gathered this opinion is when I ran a visual analysis between the two organizations. Your typical gym is usually loud, crowded, cluttered, and masculine due to the black weights, and dark floors. However, Hotworx is very feminine...

Weighted Workout

Do you find yourself struggling to find a gym as a college student? As a college student myself, I have experienced this same conflict. I have experienced this problem because I have lived in a sorority house for two years with no gym. It has been a constant struggle to find a consistent gym that is convenient within my schedule until I found Hotworx. I have always known Hotworx to be a virtual led class similar to the aerobics classes we studied in class that takes place in an infrared sauna, but until I stepped into the facility I had no idea about their free weight section.  When you walk into the Hotworx building, you automatically see 12 saunas lining the walls and a bright section in the open filled with mirrors with motivational writing, orange weights with their fire shaped logo, and popular music playing. There are multiple reasons why Hotworx is convenient and checks every box on my list. One reason Hotworx is efficient for me is because they have a 24 hour free we...

Hot Pilates

What do you look for in a workout class or organization? Do you like Hot Pilates? I have tried Hotworx hot pilates a few times now and have created some pros and cons that I have gathered from the 45 minute class. The first thing I noticed about hot pilates is it is extremely hot because of the saunas Hotworx uses. I would not consider it being hot a con though because it allows you to get in a good sweat and feel accomplished after you are done. One con that I did notice while taking the class was that it is the same class and instructor each time, so I have started to memorize the movements throughout the workout. On the other hand, I really enjoyed hot pilates because there are three different modifications: beginner, intermediate, and advanced all within the same class. Having the three modifications all together makes the class super fun because you can go with friends even if they are more advanced than you. During the class, you are in a sauna with yourself and maybe one o...

Is Hotworx Worth the Money?

Do you like going to workout classes? Do you like paying for them? Hotworx is the new talk of the town right now and I finally understand why. As a former athlete, finding workouts that make me feel accomplished outside of performing my sport is something that is really important to me. Previously, I found that F45 fulfilled that need, but the expenses made it not efficient. I decided to try out hotworx after being influenced by multiple friends and loved it. There are multiple reasons why I think this fitness company is worth it. Not only is Hotworx efficient in price because they adapt to students by allowing discounts, but they are also open 24/7 which makes them accessible and easy to work into a schedule. When I walked into the company for the first time to try out one of their classes, I found that everyone was very welcoming which is common throughout all fitness companies. However, I appreciated how the classes can be individual or with a group. Another factor that I foun...
